Asia Pacific Executive Team
Paul Cottee
Vice-President Sales & Marketing | APAC
Paul commenced the position of Vice President Sales and Marketing, Asia-Pacific Region in January, 2021 having joined SomnoMed in April, 2018 as the Asia-Pacific Director. He has twenty years of experience in large global medical device companies and brings valuable medical technology insights and knowledge of the healthcare environment to SomnoMed. He is a proven leader and brings a global mindset to our business, that will be imperative as we expand in new and existing Asia-Pacific markets.
Prior to joining SomnoMed, Paul held sales and marketing management roles of increasing responsibility at Zimmer Asia-Pacific. In 2017, he was promoted to an Asia-Pacific strategic marketing leadership role and with the merger of ZimmerBiomet Paul then led a business unit with revenue in excess of $100 million across 14 markets in the Asia-Pacific region. Prior to this Paul worked in Australian and New Zealand sales and marketing roles at Halyard Health, Becton Dickinson and Johnson and Johnson Medical. Paul has an impressive commercial track record and a true passion for customers and improving patient access to quality healthcare.
In addition, Paul has been a Non Executive Director and held committee positions in not for profit organisations. Paul has an Economics degree from Macquarie University and has completed post-graduate studies in the USA at the University of California – Los Angeles and Northwestern University.
Chloe Kim
Country Manager | South Korea
Chloe Kim has joined SomnoMed Korea as Country Manager in January 2020. She has more than 20 years of experience in major global healthcare companies. Chloe worked at Siemens healthcare for 5 years, holding positions in clinical marketing in CT, MRI and the Nuclear medicine department.
She moved to Medtronic for 5 years as a Marketing Manager in Neurosurgery. In 2013, she moved to Biomet with the role of business unit manager of SET stands for Sports medicine, Extremities and Trauma and had responsibility sales and marketing. With the merger of Zimmer Biomet, Chloe looked after marketing of Sports Medicine, Extremities, Trauma, Foot and Ankle and Biology.
Prior to joining SomnoMed Korea, In 2018, she held a sales and marketing management role with revenue in excess of $35 million in ResMed Korea.
Chloe has an MBA degree from SungKyunwan university in Korea.
King Tam
Business Transformation and Commercial Excellence Leader | APAC
King is an inspirational and goal-driven business leader with 15 years of experience across all aspects of business transformation and operational management. Prior to joining SomnoMed, King has proven success in leading strategic transformation programs at the Reserve Bank of Australia. In addition, King is driving process improvement across our Asia-Pacific business that will facilitate new and innovative sleep apnea technology.
King is a Chartered Accountant with a strong business background. He was awarded first-class honours in Economics (UNSW) and completed a Master of Applied Finance (Macquarie University). King is passionate to manage key programs at SomonoMed to deliver excellent customer experience, drive process efficiencies and accelerate commercial growth.
Domonique Roach
Marketing Manager | Australia & NZ
Domonique has more than 20 years of sales and marketing experience in major medical device companies. Domonique worked at Johnson and Johnson Medical for seven years, holding positions in sales and product management in Ethicon Endo-Surgery. She then moved to Baxter for 10 years with roles including Group Marketing Manager – Surgical Care and finally Director of Advanced Surgery for Australia and New Zealand.
Most recently Domonique worked at Alcon in Surgical Ophthalmology as the Head of Marketing – Australia and New Zealand. The extensive medical marketing knowledge and strong strategic thinking that Domonique possess, will be integral to leading key programs that will change the prescribing behaviours of medical specialists.
Tara Coates
Country Sales Manager | Australia & NZ
Since joining in April 2019, Tara has used her experience from her prior roles in pharmaceutical sales and sleep medicine to drive a better understanding of the sleep industry and drive sales at SomnoMed. After 12 months as QLD & NZ Sales Manager, Tara’s passion to improve the patient journey for accessing treatment for sleep apnea saw her move to the role of ANZ Sales Manager. Tara enjoys navigating the challenge of patient, dentist and medical prescriber relationships, where her determined and competitive mindset have proved a valuable asset.
On the weekends, you will find Tara enjoying time with her young family in the great outdoors!
Hollie Smith
State Sales Manager VIC/TAS/SA | Australia
With a background of over 20 years in Sales and Marketing, Hollie has worked for companies including Qantas Airways – Sales, Business Development, Sponsorships and Corporate Promotions, WL Gore & Associates- VIC Sales Associate Medical Products, Zimmer Biomet- VIC Sales Manager Foot & Ankle and Stryker – VIC Territory Associate/Trauma Division.
Joining Somnomed in January 2019, Hollie bought with her a dynamic understanding of the importance of sales with a strong customer focus.
With an exceptional ability to build strong market relationships with key stakeholders coupled with solid business acumen, Hollie delivers a wealth of knowledge, consistency and dedication to ensure the most successful business partnerships.
David Westwell
State Sales Manager NSW/ACT | Australia
David commenced his position as NSW State Sales Manager at SomnoMed Australia in January 2022. Originally from the U.K., he has worked extensively as a Hospital Sales Specialist and Key Account Manager in Australia and the U.K. selling Neurology treatments for various companies, including Bayer Schering, Novartis, Bristol Myer-Squibb, with sales achievements throughout his career.
David has a Ba(Hons) degree in Business & Marketing from Northumbria University in the U.K. and is also a qualified dental technician.
Laura Coleman
Sales Associate NSW | Australia
Laura commenced her NSW Sales Associate role at SomnoMed in 2022. She comes from a medical background consulting with orthopaedic surgeons whilst working at Stryker Corporation for 3 years. Before entering the medical device industry, Laura gained extensive experience working in dental and orthodontic practices.
Laura enjoys surfing, bushwalking, and playing Aussie Rules on the weekend outside of work.
Lauren Mann
Customer Service and Operations Lead | Australia
Lauren has more than 7 years of customer service and sales experience and brings valuable customer centric and efficiency insights. Previously working within the health and fitness industry, Lauren is now combining her industry experience with a passion for medical science and technology at SomnoMed.
Outside of her working life Lauren loves a good book, trips to the snow and sharing meals with loved ones.
