How the SomnoMed treatment path works.

The patient pathway to sleeping better.

A SomnoMed sleep apnea oral appliance is an FDA-cleared, custom-fitted dental device specially designed to be an effective, comfortable, and durable alternative to CPAP therapy. Plus, it’s insurance and Medicare approved!

The appliance works by moving the lower jaw forward, clearing the airway and giving you a safe and soundless sleep.

Step 2

Get tested & diagnosed.

If you have not been recently diagnosed with Obstructive Sleep Apnea from a sleep specialist and with a sleep test, you will need to do that first. Your physician may arrange for a sleep test or you may be referred to a sleep specialist by your preferred sleep dentist. SomnoMed can also help you find a certified sleep specialist should you need one. Oral Appliance Therapy works best for mild to moderate sleep apnea.

Get fitted.

If you are a good fit for oral appliance therapy, a sleep dentist will scan or mold impressions and order a SomnoMed device designed and manufactured specifically for you!
