Innovative Design

The innovative design of the SomnoDent Avant gently closes patients’ mouths, so they breathe through their nose while asleep. This means no more snoring in most patients, and also prevents dry mouth, which is a common complaint with other oral appliances (and CPAP).

Designed with the latest computer-aided design software and milled using a single piece of pre-cured dental acrylic, the SomnoDent Avant’s upper and lower splints are designed with the latest computer-aided design software. The pre-curing process improves the flexural strength of the material by 18% – effectively reducing the number of breakages and remakes that can eat into chair time. Durable SomnoDent Avant Advancement Straps provide simple calibration in 1mm increments, and an initial set of 10 straps provided with the SomnoDent Avant case come with additional sizes available in small, medium, large (10 per set) to cover every patient’s complete advancement range.

Patient Comfort

We added soft Bflex liner to the SomnoDent Avant to cradle, cushion, and support patients’ teeth and minimize tooth movement. As the world’s first milled dual material oral appliance with a Bflex liner, the SomnoDent Avant feels more comfortable to wear and is more retentive. Since it’s more comfortable, patients are more likely to wear the oral appliance, and therefore be better treated for their sleep apnea.
