SomnoDent® Avant™

SomnoDent® Avant™ is our most comfortable appliance ever. The upper and lower splints are designed with the latest Computer Aided Design software and are milled using a single piece of pre-cured dental acrylic. The precuring process improves the flexural strength of the material by 18% – reducing the number of breakages and remakes that can eat into your chair time.

We add the soft Bflex liner to cradle and support the teeth and minimize tooth movement. It cushions the device against your teeth. With a Bflex liner, the appliance feels more comfortable to wear and is more retentive. If it’s more comfortable, your patient is more likely to wear it, and be better treated for their sleep apnoea.

And we pride ourselves on the fit first time, every time promise. With the right scans or impressions, we can produce a SomnoDent® Avant™ that just drops into the patient’s mouth. No modifications are required.

And the innovative design of the SomnoDent® Avant™ gently closes your patient’s mouth, so they breathe through their nose whilst asleep. This eliminates snoring in most people, as well as preventing dry mouth which is a common complaint with other oral appliances (and CPAP).

How we make SomnoDent® Avant™?

SomnoDent® Avant™ manufacture starts with a digital photo of your teeth that your dentist will send to us. With this photo, SomnoMed will design an oral appliance specifically for your teeth and jaw shape using Computer Assisted Design or CAD software tools.

Once we’ve created your design, we start building your device using computer-controlled milling robots. The robot carves out your design from a single piece of dental plastic – as tests have shown that this method creates appliances that are stronger. We then add the soft Bflex inner liner for comfort and polish your device, so there are no sharp edges, and it is comfortable in your mouth.

After your appliance is made, we test it using a 3D printed model of your teeth. We check to make sure it fits; it doesn’t fall off your teeth, and it has been made exactly to the specifications provided by your dentist. We then ship it to your dentist, normally within 14 days, so that you can start your treatment for sleep apnoea.

Nakon što sam mjesecima patila od bolova u čeljusti i zubima te nakon nekoliko posjeta svom liječniku opće prakse i redovnom zubaru bez ikakvog poboljšanja, zamolila sam April (stomatolog) za drugo mišljenje. Nakon pažljivih konzultacija, April mi je sugerirala da bi apneja i škripanje zubima mogli stajati iza ovih problema te mi je preporučila upotrebu SomnoMed® uređaja tijekom noći.

Mohammedovo iskustvo

Mohammedu je dijagnosticirana teški Sindrom Opstruktivne Apneje tijekom Spavanja 2018. godine.
 
Tijekom prve godine nakon dijagnoze, imao sam CPAP uređaj kod kuće, ali stvarno sam se borio s njim zbog anksioznosti uzrokovane nošenjem maske na licu tokom cijele noći. Na pregledu mi je rečeno da ne bih smio voziti, moja vozačka dozvola sada je opozvana već više od 2 godine. Imam obitelj, četvero djece pa nedostatak vozačke dozvole osjetno utječe na našu svakodnevnicu. Male stvari poput kupovine hrane i izlazaka su puno teže

 

Royevo iskustvo

Kao i mnogi, postao sam svjestan svog hrkanja tokom noći i jutarnjeg umora nakon spavanja. To me navelo da se obratim svom liječniku opće prakse koji je posumnjao da imam Sindrom Opstruktivne Apneje tijekom Spavanja i uputio me u bolnicu na dodatne pretrage. Tamo su mi dali Epworth Sleep Study upitnik za ispunjavanje, koji je pokazao da patim od "dnevne pospanosti", ali ništa ozbiljno. Ipak, bilo je potrebno odraditi dodatne pretrage, pa je dogovoreno da provedem noć u bolnici, gdje mi je obavljena kompletna analiza spavanja.
